ABOUT

Dust II Onyx: A Melanated Tarot is a celebration of Black culture, spirituality, and ancestral wisdom through the art of tarot. This 78-card deck offers a soulful reimagining of traditional tarot, centering the rich experiences and identities of the African diaspora.

The deck was created by Courtney Alexander, a self-taught multimedia artist, writer, and intuitive. What started as a deeply personal journey of healing and self-discovery grew into a powerful offering for the collective. Courtney envisioned a space where Blackness could exist fully within mysticism—bold, beautiful, complex, and sacred.

Each card is handcrafted with layered textures, vibrant imagery, and shimmering foils, bringing to life figures that honor both the ancient and the contemporary. Every detail carries intention. Every image tells a story.

Dust II Onyx is more than just a tarot deck. It’s a space for reflection, empowerment, and connection. Whether you’re a seasoned reader or just beginning your journey, this deck invites you to explore your inner landscape and remember the wisdom woven into your lineage.

THE ARTIST

Courtney Alexander is a multimedia artist, writer, and spiritual creative whose work centers around healing, identity, and the sacredness of Blackness. Courtney’s path as an artist has been one of deep intuition, ancestral guidance, and fearless self-expression.

She created Dust II Onyx as a way to fill a void—not only in tarot, but in the broader spiritual and artistic landscape. Through this work, Courtney invites others to reclaim their stories, reconnect with their roots, and see themselves reflected in the divine.

Courtney’s art is layered, both visually and emotionally. She weaves together collage, texture, symbolism, and storytelling to create pieces that are not only visually striking but also spiritually resonant. Her creative process is a form of ritual, a conversation with her ancestors, and a reflection of her own healing.

Beyond the deck, Courtney continues to explore themes of transformation, liberation, and cultural memory through her writing, public speaking, and evolving body of art.

At the heart of it all is a commitment to truth, beauty, and soul.
